The Cartier Santos is one of the most historically important wristwatch designs ever created. First introduced in 1904 for the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, it was designed so he could read the time while flying without using a pocket watch. This made the Santos one of the earliest purpose-designed wristwatches.
The Santos reference 1566 carries this heritage forward with the model’s signature elements: a square case with exposed screws, Roman numeral dial, and blued steel hands.
This version is distinguished by its integrated bracelet, where the bracelet flows seamlessly from the case and closes with an elegant butterfly clasp, giving the watch a refined and balanced presence on the wrist.
Powered by a reliable quartz movement, the Santos 1566 remains a timeless expression of Cartier’s iconic design.
